Escape to the Treetops: The Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica

The Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica is a unique and eco-friendly hotel located near La Fortuna, in the Arenal region of Costa Rica. As the name suggests, this hotel features several treehouse accommodations that are built high up in the trees, offering guests a truly unique and immersive nature experience.

Each treehouse is designed to blend in seamlessly with its surroundings, and features spacious rooms, rustic wooden furnishings, large windows to let in natural light, and an open-air deck with stunning views of the surrounding jungle and volcano. Our treehouse had a lovely wrap-around veranda where we spent our mornings slowly sipping on fresh Costa Rican coffee while we tried to spot one of the many toucans in the area. We have never considered ourselves bird-watchers but that changed in Costa Rica!

Although the location of the treehouses are a little bit outside of the main area in La Fortuna, you can order food delivery right to your treehouse! We had a pizza and some beers delivered to us and it was such a treat.

The hotel has a lovely communal area for breakfast with hummingbird feeders nearby so you can watch the little critters flying around. You can also take a short walk through the jungle on a hiking path on the property; we got lucky and spotted a three-toed sloth up in the trees!

Living in a treehouse at the Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica is a one-of-a-kind experience. You'll wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and the rustling of leaves in the wind, and fall asleep to the peaceful sounds of nature. It's a great opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Costa Rica.
