While we were in La Fortuna, we stayed at a fun treehouse hotel and found that Ecotermales Fortuna was nearby so we jumped at the chance to enjoy a relaxing soak in thermal waters. The feel of this hot spring is very natural and nested right within the jungle. The pools are surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife, creating a very tranquil atmosphere. This hot spring is family-owned and is located about 7 km (4.3 miles) from La Fortuna's city center, at the base of the Arenal Volcano. The resort features four natural thermal pools with different temperatures, ranging from 37°C (99°F) to 41°C (106°F), as well as a restaurant and bar. The hot springs are fed by natural mineral waters that flow from the volcano's underground reservoirs.
Ecotermales Fortuna offers several packages and services, including day passes, night passes, and private reservations. Day passes start at $45 per person and include access to all the hot springs pools, as well as towels and lockers. The resort also offers private reservations for couples and families, which include a private hot spring pool and a bottle of wine. Ecotermales Fortuna is open every day from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort:
Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort is a luxurious hot spring resort located about 6 km (3.7 miles) from La Fortuna's city center, at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Tabacón offers a range of hot springs pools, including natural pools with waterfalls, pools with swim-up bars, and secluded pools for couples. Baldi Hot Springs is a popular hot springs complex located about 4 km (2.5 miles) from La Fortuna's city center, at the base of the Arenal Volcano. The complex features 25 thermal pools with different temperatures, ranging from 33°C (91°F) to 67°C (153°F), as well as water slides and other attractions. The hot springs are fed by natural mineral waters that flow from the volcano's underground reservoirs. The pools are surrounded by lush gardens, waterfalls, and tropical forests, creating a beautiful and relaxing environment.
Baldi Hot Springs offers several packages and services, including day passes, night passes, and all-inclusive packages that include meals and drinks. Day passes start at $44 USD per person and include access to all the hot springs pools, water slides, and other attractions.
The complex also features a restaurant and bar that serves a variety of dishes, including Costa Rican cuisine, seafood, and international dishes. There is also a souvenir shop where you can purchase souvenirs and gifts. Baldi Hot Springs is open every day from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
